Wahunsenakah Lodge 333 Emblems
Wahunsenakah Lodge was formed on January 1, 1996 when Kecoughtan Lodge 463 and Chanco Lodge 483 were merged, four years after their parent councils (Peninsula and Old Dominion Area, respectively) had merged to form Colonial Virginia Council. The name comes from the Algonquin name of Chief Powhatan, Father of Pocahontas and leader of the Powhatan Confederacy which dominated southeast Virginia in the early 1800's.
Online archive of Duck Calls, the Wahunsenakah Lodge Newsletter
Wahunsenakah Lodge is divided into 5 chapters, each serving one of the Council's Districts:

Kecoughtan Chapter, serving Monitor Merrimac District: City of Hampton and City of Newport News
Nansemond Chapter, serving Colonial Trail District: communities of Surry and Isle of Wight Counties and the City of Suffolk
Nottoway Chapter, serving Siouan Rivers District: the communities of Brunswick, Greensville, Southampton, and Sussex Counties and the Cities of Emporia and Franklin
Piankatank Chapter, serving First Colony District: geographical areas of James City County and Williamsburg
Wicomico Chapter, serving Chesapeake Bay District: geographic areas of Gloucester, Mathews and York Counties as well as the City of Poquoson.

NOTE: In February, 2015 Colonial Virginia Council announced a merger of James River and Heritage Districts, served by Kiskiack and Pamunkey Chapters, respectively. The resulting Monitor Merrimac District is served by Kecoughtan Chapter.
